A Sensory Design Inspired by the Form of a Starfish

This perfume spray design originates from an unexpected yet poetic source—the starfish. Moving away from the rigid symmetry and conventional structure of traditional perfume bottles, the design draws from the soft, radiating, and slightly irregular form of this marine organism.

The overall silhouette reflects a starfish-like geometry, with gently expanding curves and rounded edges shaped as if by ocean currents. This organic, non-geometric form softens the perception of a “container” and transforms the object into something more tactile and emotionally engaging.

Key Design Innovations

The first innovation lies in its nature-inspired organic form. By translating the radial structure of a starfish into continuous surfaces, the design achieves a sense of flow and variation, allowing the product to reveal different expressions from every angle.

Secondly, the concealed spray mechanism is integrated into a recessed top area, subtly referencing the central structure of a starfish while maintaining a clean and uninterrupted appearance.
